Nigeria Ocs by dinosaurusgede Nigeria Ocs by dinosaurusgede
I always want to learn more about Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa and the rest of the African countries. They have fascinating history and culture.
Don't forget Mansa Musa, the richest man ever existed! And Bilal, Ziryab, Saladin, Antarah ibn Shaddad, Ibrahim ibn al-Mahdi and all the amazing people with origins from Africa!
So :iconikechi1: and :iconalexandraalex: drawing amazing Africa nation Characters complete with their history and culture made me melt. Everyone, go read their stories XDDDD

Quoting from :iconbrachio30::iconsaysplz: When it comes to African history, we must not forget the most famous and well traveled explorer ever, Ibn Battuta. This guy went across North Africa, the Horn of Africa, West Africa, parts of Eastern Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, Central Asia, Southeast Asia and China. IN THE 1300s!

he did gain some studies but not as well versed in the field as others would be, his main thing was exploring and recording so he never preached Islam in the cultures he visited.

btw there is this one quote that I liked to share about Africa:

" Let's face it - think of Africa, and the first images that come to mind are of war, poverty, famine and flies. How many of us really know anything at all about the truly great ancient African civilizations, which in their day, were just as splendid and glorious as any on the face of the earth?"

by Henry Louis Gates

Perfectly fits.

Wha-?

Of course, British empire where the sun that never sets. Pfft. British. *rolls eyes*

Sometimes I want to slap that empire if only I could.

If that wall is still standing, that would have been one of the 7 wonders of the world.

Yeah, me too. :D

Africa was really affected by the colonization that even the whole world had forgotten that Africa was once known to have one of the richest and earliest civilizations on the world and it's really sad that majority of their rich culture are somewhat gone. :(

like for example the Edo-Benin built the largest and longest wall in history, the Walls of Benin, thrice the length of the Great wall and took between 900-1400 to finish building, of course the wall acted like a Russian doll that has many layers

Really? Thrice the length of the Great wall? Dude, that would have been so epic if it still exist! wait, is it still exist? If not, what happened? O_O

Sorry for the reaction. I never thought that there's a wall that was 3x the length of G.W of China.

Awesome!
