Firstly, happy independence day to Indonesia :D

Secondly, I apologize to my brothers and sisters in Indonesia for not including some of your cultures in Maaf story. I confess, there are many nation characters in Maaf and with limited screentime for Indonesia herself, I conviniently just picked few Indonesian cultures and history to be fitted to the storyline namely Sunda, Java, Bali, Bugis, Maluku, Aceh and Minangkabau.

From what I talked with some Indonesian Maaf readers, they are disappointed that I didnt include their culture and history to Maaf, such as Papua, Dayak, Minahasa, Bima, etc. I know realized how unfair I was to other Indonesian cultures. Every Indonesian cultures are struggling to survive and to be recognize in this era. It will be disrespectful of me to not include them in Maaf and let them share their tales as well. Some view that the story become Java-Bali oriented, and I would like to avoid that. I'd like to fix this and dedicated chapter 10 to focuss on Indonesia cultures and history, along with her neighbours.

Unfortunately I have limited knowledge of many Indonesian cultures. With 17,000 islands, 700 languages and hundreds of local cultures, I confess researching them is no easy task. In order to avoid culture inappropriation, thus I would like your help in researching them.

Kindly please share with us anything you know in regards to your local Indonesian cultures and help me provide their personality and how their history vould be best fitted into Maaf storyline. The history does not have to focuss in colonization era, any era is welcome, may it be during Kutai, Srivijaya, etc.

has been kindly sharing with me her knowledge about Batak history and has been kindly sharing with me her knowledge about Balikpapan. Please teach  me more about your culture. :D

Dompu sultanate from West Nusa Tenggara, AFAIK, hoist two flags that actually a little bit odd compared to other princely states in Indonesia. It's main flag and crest is a golden-orange liong, while it's war banner is black star of david with bloody red background.

Hence, we have problem waving our flags since forever in Indonesia. Oh, and lots of problem with our sultanate crest during Orde Baru. Because of that, the older generations always hide these two flags. The newer generations rarely knows about these flags. It is funny but kinda sad at the same time. :'D

Take a look. You might find it interesting. ;)
